Limited Editor's Autograph Edition, Signed by Robert Arnot, Managing Editor. Normand Edition, 100 Sets printed. The set remains unnumbered. 1st English edition. 3/4 leather binding with gilt. Raised bands on spine. Top edges gilt, other uncut. Marbled free end pages Illustrated. All illustrations checked and present. Several volumes have color illustrations. There are two of each full-page illustration in each book. Rubbing at corners, along edges and at spine ends with boards visible at some corners. Some margin tanning, mostly on the end pages. In Volume VI a beginning chapter is entitled "Concerning Novels", of which there are 2 pages (1 leaf) printed, then there is a blank page followed by a repeat of those first two pages and it continues with the rest of the chapter. The introduction in Volume 1 reads: Of the Edition Normand Of the Words of Guy de Maupassant There have been printed From Type 100 Sets of which this is Number (this set is unnumbered) Attest (signed) Robert Arnot Managing Editor.
